Last Wednesday, John Stamos posted a tribute on Instagram to his late TV father, Bob Saget, in honor of the comedian, who would have turned 68 on February 17. The sweet picture featured the full cast of "Full House," including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Those used to sharing the closest of bonds during the years they had been working on the sitcom grew sternly serious at the rare reunion.

The black-and-white photo, evocative of shared history and nostalgia, shows Stamos alongside the Olsen twins, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Scott Weinger, and series creator Jeff Franklin, posing near a large statue of Dumbo.

The Olsens, now 37, smiled warmly, flanking Coulier, aged 64, in a picture that Stamos described was taken as they assembled for Saget’s funeral. In his heartfelt caption, Stamos reflected on the profound absence of Saget, saying, “Though Bob wasn’t there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears”.

He highlighted the emotional weight of the day, emphasizing the strength of the connections Saget had fostered among them. “Bob was the heart of our ‘Full House’ family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident...

echoing the love he always extended. We celebrated a life that was a true gift to us all,” Stamos wrote.

Olsen Twins' Lasting Bond

Despite stepping back from acting in the mid-2000s and being notably absent from cast reunions and the “Full House” reboot, the Olsen twins maintained a close relationship with Saget.

They were last seen publicly with him in 2017 at a charity event, and they turned out to support him over the years at various appearances. The twins released a statement through their representative after Saget's stunning death in January 2022, saying they are "beyond devastated" and that he was "the most loving, compassionate, and generous man." And how very much they and Saget meant to one another was brought all the more into focus when Stamos shared on SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show" what, as far as he knew, the Olsen twins had said at Saget's funeral: "We love you.

We loved our childhood. We’re grateful for you guys, we thank you for making those eight years so beautiful for us. We have such fond memories”. Saget was 65 at the time of his death from head trauma, ruled as accidental by authorities.

The death news struck a chord with fans and friends alike, as he shall now be remembered as a beloved figure in not just his career's world but also among the many "Full House" followers who raised him beyond his show to a household name.
