Sir Prince Harry is expected to fulfill another royal obligation this year, as godfather to Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, during the latter's wedding. But the Duke of Cambridge's younger brother would miss the celebratory event happening next month at Chester Cathedral, where William is set to be one of the ushers.

Hugh Grosvenor, the godson of King Charles and close family friend, is getting married to Olivia Henson. They have a guest list of about 400 people, some big royals, but his own godfather, King Charles, did not make the list of attendees.

Sources say that King Charles and Princess Kate declined at the most current cancer treatments. It will be a high-profile event, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, will be conspicuously missing. The Sunday Times reports that the couple does not want any tensions that their presence at the gathering might cause.

Duke's Lavish Legacy

Grosvenor and Henson became engaged last year aged 33 and 31 respectively after they hooked up through friends in common. The Duke inherited a staggering £10 billion fortune from his father in 2016, along with an extensive property portfolio that includes 140,000 acres across Oxfordshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, and Scotland, as well as 300 acres in the prestigious neighborhoods of Mayfair and Belgravia.

Post-wedding celebrations are set to be held at Eaton Hall estate, promising a grand reception for guests. Meanwhile, Prince Harry has recently returned to his residence in the United States after a brief tour of Nigeria with Meghan, indicating his ongoing engagements abroad.

A royal insider shared with The Sun the deep connections Hugh Grosvenor has with both Prince William and Prince Harry, emphasizing his efforts to keep communication open between the two brothers. "Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both," the source said.

"He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realizes it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding." This high-profile wedding underscores the complex dynamics within the royal family, reflecting both continued friendships and the challenges of navigating personal and public commitments.
