John Stamos and the cast of "Full House" are paying tribute to their beloved co-star Bob Saget on what would have been his 68th birthday. On May 17, Stamos, 60, shared a heartfelt social media post in memory of Saget, who passed away in January 2022.

“Happy Birthday Bob. This was taken as we gathered for his funeral,” Stamos wrote alongside a black-and-white Instagram photo featuring himself with fellow "Full House" cast members Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, and the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley.

Full House creator Jeff Franklin also joined the gathering. The photo, taken at Stamos' home, showed the group posing with a large Dumbo statue, a significant prop from an earlier Instagram post by Stamos in April 2021. “Though Bob wasn’t there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears,” Stamos continued.

Reflecting on the day, Stamos emphasized the deep bond Saget fostered among the cast. “That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he nurtured among us. Bob was the heart of our ‘Full House’ family,” he explained.

“His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, in the gentle ways we supported one another, echoing the love he always extended. We celebrated a life that was a true gift to us all”.

Olsen Twins' Absence

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, now 37, who famously shared the role of Michelle Tanner on "Full House" from 1987 to 1995, made a rare appearance for the tribute.

The twins chose not to reprise their roles in the 2016 spin-off "Fuller House," a decision that initially upset Stamos. During a May 2023 episode of the "And That's What You REALLY Missed" podcast, Stamos admitted his initial anger when the twins declined to join "Fuller House." “When I did Fuller House, they didn’t wanna come back.

And I was angry for a minute," he confessed. "And that got out”. However, Stamos noted that Saget played a crucial role in maintaining the cast's unity. He shared that one positive outcome of Saget’s passing was the reconnection of the entire cast, including the Olsen twins.

Stamos even joked about the twins visiting him and bringing “a pork chop and sage”. Bob Saget passed away at 65 due to blunt head trauma following a fall in a Florida hotel on January 9, 2022. His memory continues to bring the "Full House" family together, celebrating the life of a man who meant so much to them all.
