Country music star Colt Ford recently shared a harrowing tale of survival after experiencing a life-threatening heart attack post-performance in Phoenix, Arizona. Ford, 54, recounted his ordeal during an interview on the "Big D & Bubba" show, revealing he suffered not one, but two clinical deaths before receiving urgent medical care.

The incident occurred in April, shortly after Ford delivered a sold-out show at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona. Despite the energetic performance, Ford had no memory of the event. "I didn’t even remember coming out here to do a show in Phoenix, and apparently, we played this great, sold-out show and it was incredible," Ford recounted.

After the show, he collapsed shortly after sending a text to his fiancée. According to Ford, the swift actions of his band members were critical. "I walked back to the bus, texted my fiancée, ‘Hi baby,’ and fell over dead.

I died two times. Luckily, my band came out to check on me… All of a sudden, that’s when all hell broke loose," he explained.

Miraculous Medical Rescue

Following the initial emergency response, Ford was transferred to a hospital better equipped to handle his critical condition.

"I died on the way over," he said, noting that he was in "stable but critical condition in the ICU." Medics at the scene and hospital staff worked diligently to revive him, a feat he attributes to divine intervention. "The Lord had more for me to do, more music for me to make, hopefully more differences to make in some people's lives," he expressed.

Ford's recovery was fraught with challenges, including additional medical complications like a malfunctioning gall bladder and significant trauma to his body and heart, necessitating the placement of three stents. Despite these hurdles, Ford awakened with a new outlook on life.

"I wouldn't have given you 1%, I would have given you 0.1% that you would have survived", said the doctor afterward. Ford's mortality flashed before him: "Live every day like it's your last because one day it will be." With this second chance at life, he resolved to get back on the stage with more drive and passion, ready to continue making a difference through music and his presence in the world.
