Speculations surrounding the revival of the iconic spy spoof film series Austin Powers have resurfaced as franchise star Mike Myers dropped hints about the possibility of a fourth instalment. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Myers, known for his portrayal of the groovy secret agent Austin "Danger" Powers, neither confirmed nor denied the existence of such a project, adding to the anticipation among fans.

During the interview at the 49th AFI Lifetime Achievement Award event honoring Nicole Kidman, Myers coyly addressed the question of a new Austin Powers film, stating, "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project." However, when asked if the character still had more stories to tell, Myers responded affirmatively, indicating that there might indeed be further adventures for the quirky spy.

Myers first introduced audiences to the swinging spy in 1997's "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery," alongside Elizabeth Hurley as his fellow spy and love interest, Vanessa Kensington. The franchise's success led to two sequels, "The Spy Who Shagged Me" in 1999 and "Austin Powers in Goldmember" in 2002, where Myers showcased his versatility by portraying multiple characters, including the memorable villains Dr.

Evil, Fat Bastard, and Goldmember.

Cast Reunions and Future Prospects

While Myers has previously expressed interest in reprising his role, stating in a May 2022 interview with SiriusXM's Jess Cagle that he "would love to do" another Austin Powers movie, fans eagerly await official confirmation.

In the meantime, Myers delighted viewers with a Super Bowl commercial for GM in February 2022, where he resurrected his character Dr. Evil alongside franchise co-stars Seth Green, Rob Lowe, and Mindy Sterling. However, Elizabeth Hurley's absence from the reunion raised questions about her potential involvement in future projects.

Nonetheless, in a November 2022 PEOPLE interview, Hurley expressed enthusiasm about reprising her role as Vanessa Kensington, praising Myers as "one of [her] very favorite costars" and expressing her admiration for his comedic genius.

As fans eagerly await further developments, Austin Powers' potential return promises to reignite nostalgia while introducing new adventures in spy comedy. Myers and Hurley could potentially reprise their iconic roles to the delight of audiences worldwide.
