The music world is in mourning after news of the death of Chris King, the energetic rapper who was pals with the likes of Justin Bieber and Trippie Redd and who was shot to death early Saturday morning in Nashville. Nashville police stated that the artist, whose real name was Christopher Cheeks, died in a deadly shooting that was occasioned by armed robbery.

The shooting occurred at 2:30 a.m. in an alley off Hayes Street between Church and 19th Streets as King and a 29-year-old friend were accosted by three other men. Both of the other men with King were shot, but King's wounds were considered to be the more serious.

King had been discovered in the parking garage of a hotel on Hayes Street and was driven to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

Bieber's Heartfelt Tribute

Heartbroken fans and friends from around the world, including pop megastar Justin Bieber, took to Instagram to post his touching tribute.

Bieber wrote, "Love you bro. This one hurts. Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother," captioning a picture of the two of them with the appropriate words.The emotional resonance of Bieber's words underscores the profound impact King had on those close to him.

Similarly, rapper Trippie Redd expressed his devastation on social media, revealing the depth of his grief with a series of poignant messages. "I am so hurt rn I can’t even think I love you bro come back!!!!! I can’t catch a break,” he wrote.

Trippie Redd acknowledged King's influential role in his life and career, noting, "I would not be where I am today without @whoischrisking. He had the best energy always he had so many friends and it shows I love you guys for supporting one of my best friends ever my brother." King's career spanned over a decade during which he released numerous mixtapes and LPs, notably the popular "Luck of the Snotty" series.

His recent work included the single "Seeing Double Seeing Double," released on April 8, which now serves as a poignant reminder of his talent and creative vision. As the investigation continues, the music community and King's fans come together in remembrance of his spirited legacy and mourn the loss of a life cut tragically short.
