In an unprecedented live event that promises both laughs and surprises, Tom Brady will be the center of attention at a Netflix roast hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. Titled "The Roast of Tom Brady," this event will air live and unedited from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 5, marking a significant entry in Netflix's comedy lineup.

The upcoming special, a highlight of the "Netflix is a Joke Fest," will not only feature Kevin Hart's dynamic hosting but also a diverse array of roasters drawn from the realms of comedy, sports, and entertainment. The identities of these guest roasters remain tightly under wraps, adding an element of suspense and excitement to the buildup.

Netflix's announcement on April 22 set the stage for what they are calling "The Greatest Roast of All Time." In a newly released trailer, the scene is set dramatically at L.A.' s iconic Forum, depicted with humorous exaggeration as engulfed in flames - a nod to the fiery nature of the roasts it will host.

Brady Embraces Roast

In the trailer, Hart's voiceover sets the tone: "The man. The arena. The Roast of Tom Brady. No helmets. No mercy. No Brady Rule." Brady himself adds a touch of his trademark dry humor, looking back at the camera with a deadpan response, "No f---in' problem," as the scene behind him spectacularly 'explodes.'

At 46, the seven-time Super Bowl champion is pivoting from his legendary athletic career to a broadcasting role as an NFL analyst later this year. However, his participation in this roast suggests that Brady is more than ready to engage with his legacy and the lighter side of his storied career.

His sense of humor was already on display in a BetMGM commercial aired during the Super Bowl in February. In the ad, Vince Vaughn humorously barred Brady from betting on the app, saying, "BetMGM is for everyone that loves sports betting, everyone, but Tom Brady." Brady's bemused reaction, "Wait, what did I do?" perfectly sets the stage for the humorous reversals expected in the roast.

With the roast being executive produced by Brady alongside Hart, Casey Patterson, Jeff Ross, and Jeff Clanagan for Hartbeat, anticipation is high. Brady himself confidently teased in the trailer, "I’m unroastable. Let’s go!" signaling that this special event is one that viewers won't want to miss.
