Tyler Cameron, reality TV star and former Bachelorette contestant, has been openly critical of Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist following their recent split, only three months post-wedding. The Golden Bachelor pair, who captivated audiences with their whirlwind romance, announced their divorce last week, triggering Cameron's pointed remarks during an episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." "Shame, shame, shame," Cameron expressed on the April 18 show.

He jokingly dismissed the couple, suggesting that they failed to uphold the romantic standards expected of them. "They're supposed to be setting the standard of what we're supposed to find. And they didn't make it happen. Canceled," he added, although he clarified that his comments were made in jest.

However, his disappointment was palpable as he criticized the couple for no longer being reliable symbols of love.

Bachelor Nation Stunned

The dissolution of their marriage has been a topic of heated discussion, especially given its impact on the Bachelor Nation community, which typically celebrates enduring love stories.

"They put a stain on love and Bachelor Nation because it was the most wholesome," Cameron lamented earlier in the week. "And then they just pulled the rug right out from under us." The couple cited geographical challenges as the main reason for their separation; Gerry resides in Indiana while Theresa lives in New Jersey.

Despite this, Cameron remains skeptical. "Gerry and Theresa don't want to change their ways," he commented. "Like it's just two stubborn old people, you know? And when you get older, you get more stubborn." The public revelation of their split came on April 12, with Gerry, aged 72, formally filing for divorce on the same day.

Theresa, 70, subsequently addressed their fans via Instagram, urging compassion and understanding amidst the backlash. "For everyone else who is confused and angry and who does not understand," she wrote on April 15, "please try to find it in your heart to understand and to try a little kindness.

Not just for me but for the world and for everyone you encounter." This high-profile breakup not only highlights the pressures faced by celebrity couples but also underscores the complex dynamics of love and commitment in the public eye.

As Cameron and other observers weigh in, the narrative continues to unfold, reflecting broader conversations about relationships and media scrutiny.
