In the midst of filming his latest movie, Chris Pratt encountered a painful setback. The 44-year-old actor took to Instagram to share updates from the set of the sci-fi thriller "Mercy," revealing a significant ankle injury sustained during production.

"Mercy filming day 4," Pratt captioned the post, which included two revealing photos of his injury.

The first image showed Pratt with his feet propped up, one shoe removed, and a makeshift ice pack wrapped around his swollen ankle.

He expressed gratitude towards his stunt team and noted his own enthusiasm for performing stunts, stating, "I have such a great stunt team! AND I sometimes try to get in there and do some of my own stuff." The second photo displayed a fresh scar, a testament to the day's mishaps.

"Today, daddy caught a metal post to the ankle. Should be interesting moving forward," Pratt added, hinting at challenges ahead in his recovery and filming schedule. "Mercy" pairs Pratt with Rebecca Ferguson and follows a detective accused of a violent crime in a dystopian future where capital crime rates have surged.

The star-studded cast includes Rafi Gavron, Chris Sullivan, Kenneth Choi, and Kylie Rogers. While a release date remains unannounced, anticipation builds for this gripping narrative.

Family Ties & Praise

Beyond the film, Pratt's personal life continues to capture public interest.

Married to Katherine Schwarzenegger since 2019, Pratt is a doting father to their two daughters, Lyla Maria, 3, and 23-month-old Eloise Christina, as well as his 11-year-old son Jack from his previous marriage to Anna Faris.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pratt's father-in-law, has publicly praised Pratt's role in his family and career. Last April, following the release of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," Schwarzenegger applauded Pratt's performance. "I saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW," he tweeted, "you crushed it.

A non-stop, perfect mix of comedy and action. I loved it and I'm very, very proud of you." The bond between Pratt and Schwarzenegger extends beyond family ties, with both sharing insights into the evolving entertainment industry.

Recently on the New Heights podcast, Schwarzenegger expressed his joy over Pratt marrying his daughter, acknowledging their strong compatibility and shared love. He also shared the joys of being a grandfather, especially during visits when his grandchildren engage with the family's pets, bringing much joy to the household.
