In a recent radio interview, Zayn Malik delved into his life on a Philadelphia farm, which he shares with his daughter, Khai. The former One Direction star, aged 31, revealed how his 3-year-old, whose mother is supermodel Gigi Hadid, plays an adorable role in the daily farm activities, particularly in naming the animals.

Malik, who has embraced rural life over the past five to six years, shared his experiences on Capital Breakfast with hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby. “I've got chickens, a couple of turtles, dogs, cats," he said, outlining his eclectic mix of farm residents.

He also expressed future ambitions to expand his menagerie. "Eventually, I want to make it a proper farm when I have the time, but it's a lot of work looking after loads of animals. I’d like to get some horses too,” Malik added.

The conversation took a tender turn when Malik discussed the special bond he shares with his animals, emphasizing the importance of naming them. “I think that shows a good owner," he explained. He then highlighted Khai's involvement: “You have to be somewhat connected to your animals, and I like to name them.

My daughter helps me with naming them now too, so it’s fun”.

Khai's Musical Promise

Besides farming, Malik touched on Khai's emerging musical talents, hinting that she might be walking in his musical footsteps.

In a March interview with L'Officiel, he praised her natural ability and remarkable memory for music. “It sounds ridiculous because she’s 3, but her retention for language, especially when it’s formatted in a music sense, has been amazing,” he said.

Despite her potential, Khai has yet to visit the recording studio. “It’s past her bedtime,” Malik noted, sharing that while she recognizes her father’s voice on the radio, she remains shy about her own talents in his presence.

In addition to his personal life, Malik is gearing up for a significant professional milestone with the release of his fourth studio album, "Room Under the Stairs," set for May 17. This announcement follows his return to the live stage with the debut of his new single, "Alienated," marking his first performance since 2016 and succeeding the release of "What I Am" in March.

As Malik continues to evolve both as a parent and an artist, his fans eagerly anticipate both his musical offerings and glimpses into his life off-stage.
