Prince Harry is joining forces with his wife Meghan Markle to produce a new Netflix series about the elite sport of professional polo. Series in development, the promise of an intimate look into the adrenaline-filled and stylish world of polo—where the Duke of Sussex has been playing for over 20 years with great passion.

On a recent sunny day at the National Polo Center in Wellington, Florida, the Duke was behind the reins of a film crew shooting the action-packed game of a US Open quarterfinal. He dressed down in black jeans and a grey T-shirt, fitting perfectly in the casual outlook of the crew, who underlined each physical involvement he put into the project.

The series is part of the bigger overall deal at Netflix that Harry and Meghan signed with the streamer last year through their production company, Archewell Productions.

Inside Competitive Polo

The project aims to bring both the drama and intensity of polo, not just as a social spectacle but as a fiercely competitive sport, demanding high levels of skill and commitment.

The audiences are to be given a look inside the world, which reveals strategic and physical demands of the sport, along with personal stories of those who gave their life to its mastery. While Prince Harry is geared towards focusing on the production of the polo series, Meghan Markle, too, will be part of the partnership and, besides producing two upcoming series for Netflix, will also engage in the position of an executive producer for another one related to the same topics linking culinary and gardening pleasures.

It's a food and gardening series, sprinkled with entertainment and most of all, friendship—that inspires and brings peoples of the world together. Meghan was not on hand at the National Polo Centre, but she supported her husband a day before at the Grand Champions Polo Club, also in Wellington.

She looked on as Prince Harry played in front of tennis icon Serena Williams—a vivid image of a couple supporting each other in their causes and their craft. This is definitely a great move into film production for Harry and Meghan, who have sought to find a new way after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

The couple settled down in California, the home state of Meghan, and did all sorts of creativity and charity. The series found a place on their résumé.
