Acclaimed actress Anna Paquin, aged 41, opens up about the joys and challenges of parenting her 11-year-old fraternal twins, Charlie and Poppy, alongside her husband and former True Blood co-star, Stephen Moyer, 54. The couple is keen on ensuring a childhood for their children that remains largely untouched by the pervasive influence of social media.

Paquin, who is set to captivate audiences in the upcoming drama "A Bit of Light," directed by Moyer and hitting theaters on April 5, shared her approach to keeping her twins' lives private and social media at bay. "At their age, social media hasn't become a concern yet, thankfully," Paquin remarked.

She emphasized the importance of protecting their innocence, allowing them to experience youth without the constant need for digital documentation. Though her twins currently show no inclination towards acting, Paquin remains open to the possibility, should they choose to explore it in the future.

Reflecting on her own illustrious career that began in childhood and led to an Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress for "The Piano" at the age of 11, Paquin appreciates the extraordinary opportunities and connections the industry has provided her.

"I wouldn't stand in their way if they wanted to pursue acting, given the incredible experiences and people it's brought into my life," she stated.

Paquin's Privacy Principle

Paquin has long been an advocate for privacy, especially when it comes to her family.

In a past dialogue with TODAY Parents, she expressed her commitment to keeping her twins out of the public eye, a decision she and Moyer made to safeguard their personal lives. "You won't find any pictures of my children," she asserted, emphasizing her protective stance with a light-hearted warning, "Don't mess with my cubs." As Paquin continues to navigate the complexities of parenthood and her career, her dedication to her children's well-being and privacy remains a guiding principle.
