Gina Bellman, widely recognized for her role in the hit series "Leverage," has courageously stepped forward with a personal revelation, drawing inspiration from Princess Kate's own candid announcement about battling cancer.

In an emotionally charged statement shared on social media, Bellman expressed profound admiration for the Princess of Wales, Catherine, commending her for the dignity and strength she exhibited during her announcement. "Catherine, The Princess of Wales, displayed such composure and grace today in her heartbreaking announcement," Bellman remarked.

She went on to express her hopes for Catherine's successful treatment and for a world marked by greater kindness. In her disclosure, Bellman shared her own struggle, revealing that she underwent treatment for breast cancer the previous summer.

She admitted that until witnessing the Princess's bravery, she hadn't felt the courage to go public with her diagnosis.

Resilience in Recovery

Bellman's journey has been one of resilience and determination. "Eight months on, I'm back in stilettos and filming 14-hour days," she declared, offering a beacon of hope to those currently facing similar battles.

"For those undergoing treatment right now—there is light at the end of this tunnel." The outpouring of support for Bellman was immediate, with co-star Beth Riesgraf, known for her role as Parker in "Leverage," rallying behind her.

Riesgraf's message, "We got you, G, and you got this… Always and forever," accompanied by the hashtags #Warrior and #Queen, underscored the solidarity and love within the "Leverage" community. Bellman's portrayal of Sophie Deveraux, the master grifter in "Leverage," captivated audiences throughout the show's five-season run, which concluded in 2012.

Fans of the series will be pleased to know that Bellman continues to breathe life into Sophie Deveraux in "Leverage: Redemption." This sequel to the original series made its debut on Freevee in 2021 and is set to transition to Prime Video for its eagerly anticipated third season.

Bellman's revelation not only shines a light on her personal strength but also underscores the importance of community support and the power of sharing one's story.
