In the revealing new documentary, "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV," Drake Bell has brought to light disturbing allegations of se---- abuse, a revelation that has since spurred his former co-star, Josh Peck, to break his silence.

The duo, renowned for their lead roles in the beloved Nickelodeon sitcom "Drake & Josh," depicted the comedic yet heartfelt life of two stepbrothers navigating adolescence under the same roof. The series was a staple of early 2000s children's television, endearing fans with its unique blend of humor and family dynamics.

The allegations surfaced as part of the documentary's in-depth exploration into the darker facets of children's television, specifically citing an incident where Bell was se------ abused at the age of 15 by actor and dialogue coach Brian Peck.

This claim sent shockwaves through the industry, particularly affecting Dan Schneider, the executive producer for Nickelodeon at the time, who was reportedly "devastated" by the news. In response to the public outcry and criticism for his initial silence, Josh Peck took to Instagram on Thursday, March 21, four days following the documentary's premiere, to express his sentiments.

"After watching 'Quiet On Set,' I needed a few days to fully process its contents," Peck stated in his post. He acknowledged reaching out to Drake Bell privately while extending his support to the survivors who courageously came forward with their accounts of emotional and physical abuse within the Nickelodeon framework.

Advocating for Change

Peck emphasized the importance of protecting children and expressed hope that the documentary would not only aid in the healing process for the victims and their families but also instigate significant reforms within the entertainment industry.

His statement arrived just a day after Bell implored fans to temper their criticisms of Peck, acknowledging the sensitive nature of processing and addressing such traumatic experiences, both privately and publicly. Bell's own message highlighted the complex emotions involved in coming to terms with past abuses, noting, "Processing this and going through this is a really emotional time, and a lot of it is very, very difficult." He confirmed that Peck had indeed reached out to him, underscoring the sensitivity with which these matters are being handled amidst a challenging period for all involved.
