At the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday, Teller, 37, shared his enthusiasm for portraying John Branca, Jackson’s former manager and current co-executor of his estate, in the upcoming film.

In an exclusive conversation with Variety, Teller addressed the sensitive issue of the allegations of child s-- abuse against Jackson, acknowledging the importance of considering such concerns before accepting the role. Despite the controversy surrounding the legendary pop icon, Teller expressed his eagerness to contribute to the project, confident that it would captivate audiences.

Detailing his preparation process for the role, Teller emphasized the significance of immersing himself in extensive research. Having had the opportunity to interact with Branca himself, as well as meeting with director Antoine Fuqua and producer Graham King, Teller commended the caliber of talent involved in the project, underscoring the collaborative spirit among the ensemble.
