Robyn Bernard, celebrated for her portrayal of Terry Brock in the beloved soap opera "General Hospital," has tragically passed away at the age of 64. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Bernard's lifeless body was discovered in an open field behind a business establishment in San Jacinto, California, on Tuesday morning.

Despite immediate medical attention, Bernard was pronounced dead at 4:08 a.m. Identification of Bernard was facilitated through her fingerprints by the coroner’s office following a call to authorities for a thorough investigation into her untimely demise.

While an autopsy was slated for Wednesday, the results of toxicology tests are expected to be forthcoming, albeit potentially requiring several weeks for completion, as per reports from TMZ. There are currently no indications of foul play surrounding Bernard's passing.

Acting Journey and Breakthrough

Born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, Bernard embarked on her acting journey after a series of minor television roles, including appearances on "Diva," "Simon & Simon," and "Betty Blue." Her breakthrough came in 1984 when she secured the role of Terry Brock, also known as Terry O’Connor, in "General Hospital," a character she portrayed across 145 episodes until her departure from the series in 1990.

Throughout her career, Bernard showcased her talent across various projects, including notable appearances in "Whiz Kids," "The Facts of Life," "Tour of Duty," and "Kings for a Day." Her final credited role came in 2002, portraying a psychologist in "Voices from High School," after which she chose to step away from the limelight.

Bernard leaves behind her father Jerry Wayne Bernard, along with two sisters, Crystal and Scarlett, as she is mourned by fans and colleagues alike. Her legacy as a talented performer and cherished member of the entertainment community will continue to resonate with audiences for years to come.
