In the glamorous lead-up to the Oscars, The Hollywood Reporter had the pleasure of catching up with Margot Robbie, the illustrious Chanel ambassador, during the renowned fashion house's pre-Oscars dinner at the Polo Lounge.

Amidst the anticipation of the Academy Awards, Robbie took a moment to reflect on her recent iconic Chanel ensembles and to share her post-Oscars relaxation plans. Margot Robbie, known for her role as both producer and star in the sensation that is "Barbie," has been at the forefront of a high-fashion promotional tour that has dazzled fans and critics alike.

"Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig and released in the summer of 2023, quickly ascended to cultural phenomenon status, rounding out the year as the top-grossing movie with a staggering $1.445 billion finish. The film's acclaim was further cemented with eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, showcasing Robbie's remarkable versatility and style.

Robbie's Chanel Favorites

Robbie, attending Chanel and Charles Finch's 15th annual pre-Oscars dinner, was delighted to recount two of her favorite Chanel looks. One standout was the unique four-piece suit she donned for the Oscar nominees luncheon, a testament to Chanel's distinctive flair.

Robbie also reminisced about wearing an iconic Chanel outfit originally sported by Claudia Schiffer, highlighting the profound connection between fashion and cinematic artistry. Despite the end of the "Barbie" era approaching, Robbie assured that pink, the film's signature color, will forever hold a special place in her heart and wardrobe, symbolizing joy and universal appeal.

The evening was a star-studded affair, with Robbie surrounded by friends and fellow nominees, celebrating the monumental success of "Barbie" and the exhaustive yet exhilarating journey it entailed. As for unwinding after the Oscars, Robbie plans to take a digital detox, switching her phone off to enjoy a well-deserved break.

Looking ahead, Robbie is set to star in "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" alongside Colin Farrell, under the direction of Kogonada, while continuing to drive her production company, LuckyChap, alongside her husband Tom Ackerley and partner Josey McNamara.

The end of the Oscars marks not just a pause for Robbie but the beginning of another exciting chapter in her illustrious career.
