In a surprising twist of events, Jax Taylor has come forward to clarify the status of his relationship with Brittany Cartwright, emphasizing that their recent split does not equate to a divorce. "We're together. We're living in our home right now," Taylor revealed to Page Six after a gym session on Thursday evening.

This statement came just hours following Cartwright's announcement that the couple was "taking time apart." Contrary to previous reports suggesting that Cartwright and Taylor had been living separately since their split, Taylor disclosed that their living situation has seen rapid changes.

"She was in a house for a while, but yeah, she's back now," he stated, indicating a swift reconciliation of sorts. The couple, who shares a residence in Valley Village, had been observed living apart just days prior to their separation news breaking, with Taylor being spotted visiting Cartwright at what seemed to be her temporary abode in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Reevaluating Marriage Bonds

Interestingly, Taylor, who was not wearing his wedding ring at the time of the interview, mentioned that they are in the process of "figuring out" their future steps together, stressing that the split was a recent development.

"It’s not evil or nastiness," the 44-year-old assured, shedding light on the nature of their separation. "It’s just two people that you now are hitting a 10-year mark in their marriage." Taylor further elaborated that the decision to spend time apart was a measure taken to reassess their relationship, with a particular focus on what is best for their child.

The couple, who tied the knot in June 2019 after a four-year courtship, welcomed their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, in April 2022. Their journey, including the ups and downs of their relationship, has been closely followed by fans on the reality show "Vanderpump Rules." Cartwright, in a candid moment on their podcast "When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany," opened up about the challenges they've faced, especially over the past year.

"Yes, marriages in general are very hard, and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year," she reflected. Despite the separation, Cartwright's primary focus remains on her mental health and her role as a mother to Cruz, leaving the future of their relationship uncertain.
