In a recent development that has captured the attention of fans and followers of the popular reality TV series "Vanderpump Rules," Tom Sandoval has formally responded to Ariana Madix's legal action aimed at compelling the sale of their jointly owned residence.

Court records released to the public on February 26 reveal Sandoval's contention that Madix's lawsuit lacks the necessary factual basis to proceed. The 40-year-old reality star argues that the case presented by his 38-year-old ex-partner does not establish a valid legal claim, thereby challenging the request for a division of their shared property.

The legal documents, submitted to a Los Angeles court on February 23, further elaborate Sandoval's position, accusing Madix of failing to pursue her lawsuit with reasonable diligence and good faith. He alleges that she has not adequately attempted to minimize any alleged losses, as suggested by her own filings.

Sandoval is also seeking an equitable adjustment in the event the court decides in favor of partitioning the property, requesting compensation for any enhancements and repairs he has contributed that have increased the home's value.

This legal skirmish follows Madix's previous allegations of ongoing discord negatively impacting both the ownership and her personal enjoyment of the property. In a bid to resolve the matter, she had petitioned for the house to be sold and the proceeds divided.

Madix explicitly rejected any form of division that would allow either party to maintain an interest in the property, deeming such an arrangement impractical under the circumstances.

Home Dispute Escalates

The house at the center of this dispute, a spacious 4,334-square-foot property in Valley Village, Los Angeles, was acquired by the pair in 2019 for $2 million.

Despite their separation following Sandoval's affair with "Vanderpump Rules" co-star Rachel "Raquel" Leviss, Madix and Sandoval have continued living together as they navigated their next steps, communicating exclusively through intermediaries.

Madix's involvement in "Dancing With the Stars" in September 2023 led her to spend considerable time away from the house, residing in an Airbnb during her participation in the show. She expressed her desire to resolve the ownership issue, stating her intention to sell the property, a sentiment not shared by Sandoval.

The ongoing dispute was also highlighted in the eleventh season of "Vanderpump Rules," showcasing the ex-couple's disagreement over the house, including a contentious moment when Sandoval planned a birthday party at their home.

Madix, feeling disrespected by the move, threatened to involve the police if the party disturbed her peace, underscoring the deep fissures in their relationship post-breakup.
