The incident unfolded soon after Killer Mike celebrated winning Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for "Scientist & Engineers," as well as Best Rap Album for "Michael" during the show's pre-telecast ceremony.
The scene was captured in a video shared by The Hollywood Reporter's Chris Gardner on X (formerly known as Twitter), showing Killer Mike being escorted out of the Crypto.com Arena by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD later confirmed the arrest of an adult male following a physical altercation on the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court, transporting him to the LAPD Central Division.

Killer Mike addressed the situation, citing confusion and a hectic environment at the event. "As you can imagine, there was a lot going on, and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter," he explained.
He attributed the mishap to an over-zealous security guard but remained confident in being cleared of all wrongdoing. He encouraged fans to continue supporting his latest album, "Michael," and to pursue their dreams. Amidst the chaos, Killer Mike expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans and colleagues.
"I greatly appreciate the concern and support, but I am better than OK," he stated, affirming his well-being. He took a moment to acknowledge the Recording Academy for the honors and shared another personal victory: his son, who had been awaiting a kidney transplant for years, finally found a match.
"We are elated," he shared in a heartfelt statement. Sources close to the rapper informed PEOPLE that Killer Mike faces a misdemeanor charge. However, his team remains optimistic that the unfolding facts will vindicate him. Taking to X, Killer Mike extended his gratitude to his wife, Shay, for her unwavering support.
