In a recent touching social media post, Jamie Foxx, the versatile star known for his dynamic roles in films like "White House Down," shared a profound expression of gratitude for what he describes as a "second chance in life." This candid moment comes in the wake of his nomination for the prestigious 55th NAACP Image Awards, a recognition that has clearly moved the actor deeply.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Foxx penned an emotional note that began with heartfelt thanks to the NAACP Image Awards for the nominations he received for his roles in "The Burial," "They Cloned Tyrone," and "Story Avenue." His message highlighted not just his personal joy but also the significance of being acknowledged by the African American community.

"I cannot tell you how great it feels to be recognised by our own," Foxx wrote, emphasizing the importance of this cultural nod.

Gratitude and Reflection

He took a moment to acknowledge his collaborator, Datari Turner.

He praised Turner's vision and dedication, noting how it has significantly impacted Foxx's own production company, Foxxhole Productions, driving it towards remarkable artistic achievements. "You have put Foxxhole productions on the map, and we continue to keep making incredible artistic strides!!!" Foxx stated, reflecting his enthusiasm for their joint creative endeavors.

Foxx also shared a more personal reflection. He opened up about a medical emergency he faced last year, conveying his humble appreciation for having a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life. This personal revelation adds a layer of vulnerability to Foxx's public persona, endearing him further to his fans and followers.

Foxx's return to the spotlight has been triumphant. After a brief hiatus due to the aforementioned medical emergency in April 2023, which interrupted the shooting of his Netflix movie "Back in Action," Foxx is back on set.

A source close to the production told PEOPLE, "Jamie is indeed back on set and shooting through February. He looks and feels fantastic." The film, which also marks the return of Cameron Diaz to the big screen, is eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.
