South Korea and the global entertainment industry are mourning the untimely loss of acclaimed actor Lee Sun-kyun, celebrated for his memorable role in the Oscar-winning sensation, "Parasite." The 49-year-old actor was discovered lifeless inside a car at a central Seoul park on Wednesday, according to South Korea's emergency office.

The actor's tragic demise sent shockwaves through the nation and beyond. Earlier in the day, police had received a distressing report from Lee's family, indicating that he had left his residence and left behind a message resembling a suicide note.

Authorities initiated a frantic search for the beloved actor, which sadly concluded with the discovery of his lifeless body.

Possible Carbon Monoxide Link

Details surrounding the circumstances of Lee Sun-kyun's passing remain limited, with police refraining from releasing further information at this time.

However, South Korean media outlets, including the reputable Yonhap news agency, have reported that a charcoal briquette was found in the passenger seat of the vehicle where Lee was found, suggesting a tragic connection to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Lee Sun-kyun's career was defined by his remarkable talent and versatility. He gained international acclaim for his portrayal of the head of a wealthy family in Bong Joon-ho's masterpiece, "Parasite." In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the film's ensemble, he was honored with a Screen Actors Guild award in 2021.

Beyond "Parasite," Lee's talent shone brightly in various projects, earning him nominations for prestigious awards. Notably, he received a best actor nomination at the International Emmy Awards for his compelling performance in the sci-fi thriller series "Dr.
