In a candid revelation, renowned comedian and television host Nick Cannon disclosed the considerable financial commitment involved in raising his extensive family. The 43-year-old star, father to 12 children, shared that he annually spends a staggering $200,000 on Disneyland visits alone.
This revelation came during Cannon's recent guest appearance on the popular radio show "The Breakfast Club." Known for his candidness, Cannon detailed the frequency of these trips to the Anaheim-based theme park, often planned to celebrate birthdays and holidays.
"Every birthday and Christmas, I'm literally at Disneyland at least once a month," he disclosed, highlighting the significant costs of such frequent visits.
Cannon's Disneyland Evolution
Cannon's relationship with Disneyland has evolved over the years.
He reminisced about a time when hosting the park's annual Christmas morning parade from 2009 to 2013 afforded him certain perks, including complimentary tickets. Back then, Cannon, now the host of "The Masked Singer," had only two children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, with his then-wife, global superstar Mariah Carey.
"It's no longer free, and I only had two kids then," he lamented. The logistics of these Disneyland excursions are not trivial. Besides the entry fees, Cannon mentioned additional expenses such as hiring chaperones and securing hotel accommodations, noting the increased complexity and cost compared to earlier times.
"Disneyland is expensive already off [the] top if [you’re] trying to stay in the hotel," he pointed out, adding, "You got to make reservations now." Cannon's family life has been as dynamic as his career. In December last year, he welcomed his 12th child, Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott.
They also shared a son, Zen, who tragically passed away in 2021. Cannon's other children include Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby de la Rosa, son Legendary Love with Brie Tiesi, and daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole.
During his interview, Cannon opened up about his perspective on fatherhood, acknowledging the challenges but emphasizing the joy and fulfillment it brings him. He expressed a deep sense of responsibility and love for his family, acknowledging the complex dynamics but underscoring the overriding sentiment of love and care.
