In a startling incident in Seoul, a woman armed with a knife breached the security of a theater's dressing room, resulting in a confrontation with renowned K-pop star Kyuhyun. The attack occurred around 18:00 local time (09:00 GMT), as reported by local media.

Kyuhyun, famed as a member of the celebrated boy band Super Junior, was amidst his peers when the intrusion happened. In a bid to subdue the assailant, he sustained a minor injury to his finger. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was promptly apprehended following the incident.

Weapon Origin Investigated

The police are currently delving into the origins of the weapon and examining whether the assailant has any history of mental illness. As per local media reports, the woman appears to have no prior association with Kyuhyun or any of the other actors present during the incident.

Antenna Music, the agency representing Kyuhyun, the 35-year-old luminary in the K-pop world, provided an update on the incident to JoongAng Daily, one of South Korea's leading national newspapers. They assured the public that, fortunately, Kyuhyun's injuries were minor.

The singer, known for his captivating performances and significant influence in the K-pop industry, sustained just a small cut on his finger during the altercation. The agency emphasized that he received prompt and professional medical care right at the scene, ensuring that his injury was immediately addressed.

This swift response highlights the readiness and efficiency of the medical team present, ensuring the well-being of those involved in the unexpected and alarming incident. Kyuhyun, a versatile artist, has been playing the lead role in a Korean-language adaptation of the musical "Ben-Hur," which narrates the tale of a fictional Jewish hero wrongfully accused of attempting to assassinate a Roman official.

Since joining Super Junior in 2006, Kyuhyun has not only enjoyed immense popularity as a K-pop star but has also carved a niche for himself in the musical theater domain. Kyuhyun is currently starring as the lead actor in a Korean-language version of the Ben-Hur musical, which tells the story of a fictional Jewish hero who was falsely accused of an assassination attempt by the Romans.
