In a recent development within the British Royal Family, King Charles III appears to be maintaining a cautious distance from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The reigning monarch is reportedly advised against extending invitations to the couple for future royal gatherings.

This stance follows ongoing tensions and public controversies involving the Duke and Duchess of Suss*x. BBC initially broke the news this week, revealing that Prince Harry planned to call his father on King Charles' 75th birthday on November 14.

However, the private nature of this phone call was soon compromised when details emerged in The Telegraph, raising concerns about privacy within the royal circles. Renowned royal commentator Richard Eden, who contributed to the Daily Mail, opined that the leak of this private conversation might further strain the fragile relationship between Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the Royal Family.

Eden suggested that this incident could be seen as a breach of trust, potentially reinforcing the family's wariness about the couple's discretion.

Privacy Concerns Heighten

"The revelation of private discussions so soon after they occurred could signal a cautionary tale in the context of future royal invitations," Eden remarked in his column.

He emphasized the irony of the situation, given Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's vocal advocacy for privacy, contrasting sharply with their actions. The Telegraph, meanwhile, reported that the conversation between Charles and the Suss*xes was 'warm', noting that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, even recorded a birthday greeting for their grandfather.

Despite these seemingly positive gestures, Eden asserted that the couple remains persona non grata at royal family events. Eden concluded his analysis by reflecting on the delicate balance King Charles faces in managing his relationship with his son and daughter-in-law while also preserving the integrity and privacy expectations of the Royal Family.

This latest episode underscores the ongoing complexities and challenges within Britain's most famous family, as they navigate public perception and private realities.
