In a significant move, Silver Lining Entertainment has recently welcomed Niousha Noor, the celebrated star of the Sundance-acclaimed dramedy "The Persian Version," to its roster for representation. Noor's performance in Maryam Keshavarz's film has been pivotal in its success, winning multiple awards including the Audience Award and Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance 2023.

"The Persian Version," currently on screens through Sony Pictures Classics and Stage 6 Films, explores the life of Leila (played by Layla Mohammadi), an Iranian American filmmaker aspiring to make her mark. The film unfolds in New York City, against the backdrop of her father's heart transplant surgery.

It delves into the intricate dynamics of family and culture, particularly highlighting the tension between Leila and her mother, Shireen, a role poignantly portrayed by Noor, when a deeply personal secret comes to light.

Noor's Diverse Roles

Noor's talent extends beyond "The Persian Version." She is a standout in Netflix's "Kaleidoscope," a gripping heist series created by Eric Garcia.

Here, she shares the screen with notable actors like Giancarlo Esposito, Rufus Sewell, Paz Vega, and Jai Courtney. Her previous work includes a lead role in "The Night," a horror thriller from IFC Midnight, which co-starred Cannes Best Actor winner Shahab Hosseini ("The Salesman").

Notably, "The Night" entered the books as the first American-produced film to receive a wide theatrical release in Iran since the Iranian revolution over forty years ago. Noor's impressive portfolio also includes recurring roles in Alan Ball's HBO series "Here and Now" and Freeform's "Stitchers." More recently, she has appeared in "9-1-1: Lone Star" and "The Accidental Wolf." Looking ahead, Noor is not just resting on her laurels.

She's actively developing her original screenplay, "Blue Flower," which she aims to star in and produce. While embracing this new chapter with Silver Lining Entertainment, Noor continues her collaboration with TalentWorks, Rogers & Cowan/PMK, and Schreck Rose Dapello, showcasing her multifaceted talents and continuing to leave a mark in the entertainment industry.

This strategic partnership signals a new era of growth and diverse opportunities for Noor, promising exciting developments for her fans and the cinema world at large.
