In an emotional tribute to the late Matthew Perry, John Stamos took to social media to share a heartwarming story from their time together on 'Friends,' where Perry starred as the iconic Chandler Bing. Perry, whose untimely demise on October 28 was reported as an apparent drowning, left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions.

Stamos, widely recognized for his role in 'Full House,' guest-starred on 'Friends' as a potential sperm donor for Chandler and Monica’s storyline. He expressed his deep admiration for Perry's genuine and down-to-earth demeanour, reflecting on the kindness he experienced firsthand.

In a touching Instagram post accompanied by a clip from his memorable cameo, Stamos recounted, “Matthew and I had been friendly long before 'Friends.' So when I guest-starred as Zach, the prospective sperm donor for Chandler and Monica, I spent much time hanging out with him”.

He vividly described a behind-the-scenes moment, sharing, “I was backstage, preparing for my entrance, when Perry leaned in and whispered, ‘The audience is going to go crazy when they see you! Get ready for some screams.’”

Perry's Heartening Gesture

Contrary to Perry’s prediction, the audience remained silent as Stamos made his entrance, leaving him feeling momentarily embarrassed.

Yet, what happened next showcased Perry’s extraordinary character. “As I finished my scene and returned to my dressing room, Matt made his way to the studio audience, announcing, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for John Stamos!

You guys probably didn’t recognize him at first because he's so much better looking in person!’. ” Stamos concluded his tribute with heartfelt words, stating, “I will carry that kind gesture with me for the rest of my life.

The world has lost a remarkable spirit. Rest in peace, Matthew Perry”. This touching recollection not only honours Perry’s legacy but also highlights the genuine connections formed behind the scenes of one of television’s most beloved sitcoms, revealing the impactful and lasting bonds shared among its stars.
