"I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved 'Fools Rush In,' and how he believed that our film was probably his best work," she stated.

Salma went on to share a snapshot from a Q&A session, wherein Perry had stated, "'I did a movie called 'Fools Rush In' with @salmahayek - that was probably my best movie." Hayek and Perry maintained a close friendship long after their film together.

She shared fondly, "Throughout the years, he and I found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude." She concluded her tribute with a poignant farewell, "My friend, you are gone much too soon, but I will continue to cherish your silliness, your perseverance, and your lovely heart.

Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you." While the 'Friends' cast has yet to release a collective statement, the show’s co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, along with executive producer Kevin Bright, have expressed their devastation to CNN, describing Perry as a 'brilliant talent.'

Perry's tragic death occurred at his Los Angeles home, with law enforcement sources reporting that he was found unresponsive in his hot tub. The actor had been open about his struggles with addiction, even discussing these issues in his book 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.'

The cause of death is still under investigation, pending toxicology report results, a process which could take several weeks according to the medical examiner's office. On Sunday, Perry's grieving family issued a statement through People, sharing, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother.

Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend." Salma Hayek’s tribute, filled with warmth and fond memories, stands as a testament to the profound impact Matthew Perry had on those around him, leaving a legacy filled with laughter, joy, and heartfelt performances.
