In an emotional nod to the late and legendary Robin Williams, Ryan Reynolds recently reminisced about the iconic comedian, confessing, "I miss Robin Williams." The "Deadpool" star took to Instagram to share his heartfelt sentiments about Williams and his profound impact on countless lives, both on and off the screen.

Reynolds was recently recognized with the "Bring Change to Mind Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter" award, an honour symbolizing the incredible legacy of laughter and joy Williams left behind. “Receiving the Robin Williams Legacy Award at the annual Bring Change to Mind gala in NYC was a surreal experience,” he noted on his Instagram.

He said, "His children have transformed his legacy into a vibrant testament of love and goodness”. Founded in 2010 by the esteemed actress Glenn Close, alongside her sister and nephew, the Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) initiative is dedicated to fostering change, eliminating stigma, and standing up against discrimination, primarily in children's mental health.

The vision and mission of the organization deeply resonate with Reynolds, as he mentioned, “Glenn's commitment to creating a platform for these essential conversations is genuinely life-saving. The admiration I hold for this woman is unparalleled”.

Reynolds Joins Elite Legacy Laureates

Adding a touch of humor to his reflections, Reynolds mentioned the unique experience of the award night, “Being playfully roasted throughout the evening by some of the world's most hilarious individuals was a memory I'll cherish, likely without needing any hypnotic intervention!” Reynolds is now in esteemed company as the eighth distinguished recipient of the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award.

Previous luminaries recognized with this accolade include Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, The Smith Family, comedic powerhouses Dan and Eugene Levy, and Melissa McCarthy.
