Both profoundly devoted to their late mother, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry, find themselves on opposite sides of the spectrum regarding Netflix's use of her memory in the upcoming sixth season of 'The Crown.'

The popular streaming show is set to feature a spectral Lady Di engaging in conversations with the late Queen Elizabeth and King Charles, a choice that has stirred strong emotions within the royal family. Prince William, visibly dismayed by this portrayal, has expressed deep disapproval of the idea.

According to sources close to the royal, he is "totally sickened" by the prospect of his mother's memory being exploited in such a manner. Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast, who received this insight from one of William's friends, reported that the Prince finds it "incredibly hurtful" to see his mother repeatedly subjected to what he deems a "tawdry fashion" by Netflix.

The idea has left him so perturbed that he has no intention of watching the series, as it would only intensify his feelings of disgust.

Prince Harry's Nonchalant Netflix Connection

In stark contrast, Prince Harry appears relatively unfazed by the situation, an observation made by royal commentator Daniela Elser in her article for News.com.au.

Harry's response seems surprisingly laid-back despite his past grievances with the media exploiting his life for commercial gain. Elser pointed out the intriguing connection between the streaming giant and the Duke and Duchess of Suss*x, noting that Netflix is the couple's primary source of income, with a reported $77 million deal on the line.

This raises questions about whether Harry's seemingly carefree attitude toward 'The Crown' might be influenced by the significant financial stakes involved. The contrasting reactions of the royal brothers to the Netflix series have further fueled the ongoing feud between them, providing additional "kindling" for the fire of their discord.

As the world eagerly awaits the final season of 'The Crown,' the emotional impact of portraying their beloved mother as a spectral presence continues to be a divisive issue within the royal family.
