Siva Kaneswaran, one of the prominent members of the music group 'The Wanted', recently unveiled his therapeutic journey post his participation in the renowned show "Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins". This reality series, which is creating a buzz on Channel 4, challenged Siva and 15 other celebrities to undergo intense training patterns similar to the SAS selection, set amidst the rugged terrains of Thung Ui, north Vietnam.

Kaneswaran, reflecting on his seven-week long expedition in the wilderness, shared how he sought therapy post-filming. He confided that, after the show, he felt a resurgence of life and courage, but it was accompanied by an uncharacteristic aggression.

"I wasn't myself. I had to seek therapy," Kaneswaran said. The usually 'soft and gentle' singer credited his wife, Nareesha McCaffrey, for highlighting the change in his demeanor.

Kaneswaran's Mental Transformation

Delving deeper, Kaneswaran spoke about the mental shift he underwent for the show, pushing his physical and mental boundaries.

This led him to an 'extreme' mindset. The "Celebrity SAS" team, along with his American therapist, played pivotal roles in helping him find his grounding. The ordeal also enhanced his admiration for soldiers and deepened his understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

A standout moment from the series involved Matt Hancock, the former politician. Hancock recounted a yet-to-be-aired instance where he assisted Siva during the 'murder ball' challenge that spiraled out of control. "His face was submerged...

I yanked him out by his hair to help him breathe," Hancock revealed. The entire ordeal, as Kaneswaran recalls, was "horrible", especially with mud covering him up to his eyes. The series this year also showcases other luminaries like Jermaine Pennant, Gareth Thomas, Michelle Heaton, Amber Turner, James Argent, John Barrowman, Danielle Lloyd, Teddy Soares, Montana Brown, Zoe Lyons, Gareth Gates, Kirsty-Leigh Porter, Melinda Messenger, Perri Shakes-Drayton, and Jon-Allan Butterworth MBE.

As this star-studded lineup endures the tests of survival and resilience, viewers eagerly anticipate the challenges and transformations each celebrity will undergo.
