Jacky Oh, the acclaimed star of “Wild ‘N Out” and devoted partner of fellow star DC Young Fly, tragically lost her life due to complications arising from cosmetic surgery. This revelation comes as per the findings of the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner, which was shared with Page Six recently.

Jacky, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, had opted for a gluteal augmentation procedure on May 30. The procedure was reportedly without any complications, contradicting some media reports at the time suggesting she had undergone a comprehensive "mommy makeover" in Miami.

Post-Surgery Complications Turn Fatal

Following the procedure, she was prescribed a combination of medications: Ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic; Oxycodone, a painkiller; and Ondansetron, for nausea prevention. Not long after, she encountered a persistent headache.

A nurse, upon consultation, recommended that she should replace the Ondansetron with ibuprofen. Tragically, on May 31, Jacky conveyed she felt as though "her head was on fire" and had a “difficulty speaking”. An emergency was called by her concerned aunt, but by the time help arrived, Jacky had become unresponsive.

The hospital pronounced her dead shortly after. At just 33 years old, the loss was profound. An autopsy shed more light on her tragic end, revealing brain swelling and significant bleeding around the skin of her torso. The world not only lost an incredible talent but her three children, Nova, Nala, and Prince, lost a loving mother.

The grief was palpable across the entertainment community. “Wild ‘N Out” commemorated Jacky's contribution in a poignant Instagram post on June 1, which said, “Jacky Oh, known to fans as Jacklyn Smith, was not just a talented member of our Wild N’ Out family, but also a cherished friend, colleague, and most importantly, a doting mother to her three children”.

The BET Media Group expressed their heartfelt condolences, “During this challenging period, our thoughts are with the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and everyone who held Jacky dear”. While Jacky’s talent on screen will be sorely missed, her presence in the lives of her loved ones is irreplaceable.
