Popular Pawn Stars personality, Corey Harrison, better known as "Big Hoss" on the critically acclaimed History Channel series, encountered legal challenges recently in Las Vegas. The incident unfolded at approximately 2 a.m.
on a Friday when Harrison was pulled over due to his white Ford F250 pickup swaying unpredictably into a bike lane. The Entertainment Weekly police report highlighted "bloodshot" eyes and an unmistakable aroma of alcohol permeating from the vehicle.
Having arrived in Vegas from Minnesota earlier that day, where Harrison was capturing moments for the upcoming series Pawn Stars Do America, the situation intensified. When prompted by law enforcement, Harrison underwent a field sobriety test – one which he did not pass, as initially reported by TMZ.
Thereafter, Harrison was approached to undertake a breathalyzer test. However, a malfunction with the breathalyzer equipment led to a blood sample being taken instead. The outcome of this test remains undisclosed, but it led to Harrison's booking on alleged DUI charges.
Harrison Challenges DUI Allegations
Speaking out on the incident, Harrison expressed his intentions to contest the charge legally. He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "I'm not advocating for leniency on drinking and driving.
However, when challenges arise, I stand up to them." While acknowledging a drink on his flight to Vegas, Harrison denied consuming any further alcohol post-landing. The reality star also pointed out an alignment issue with his vehicle that causes it to veer slightly.
He went on to state multiple reasons for his unsteady performance during the sobriety test, including a severely infected shin, difficulty maintaining balance on the uneven surface where he was stopped, and a sudden emergency which caused some officers to abruptly depart the scene.
Harrison, a cornerstone of the Pawn Stars franchise since its 2009 debut, also mentioned that the episode did not result in the suspension of his driving license. As a prominent figure at the renowned World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, his commitment remains unwavering, even amidst personal setbacks. As fans and followers await more updates, it's evident that Harrison is geared up to address the matter head-on.
