"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts has joyously begun a new chapter of her life by marrying Amber Laign, her partner of nearly two decades. The couple exchanged their vows in a whimsical backyard ceremony, which Roberts eloquently described on her Sunday Instagram post as an "intimate, magical wedding." The images accompanying her post captured the newlyweds clad in elegant white wedding dresses, radiating happiness.

Following the heartwarming ceremony, they hosted an enchanting garden-themed reception. As Roberts reminisced, "Ohhhh the dancing! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come!"

Lil Man Lukas Announces Wedding

In a charming twist, the initial announcement of their nuptials came via the couple's pet dog, Lil Man Lukas.

This Tibetan Spaniel Papillon mix sported a dashing bowtie and shared the joyous news on his Instagram, stating, "My mommies are MARRIED!!!! Married?... yes… married!!!" The love story of Robin and Amber began in 2005, and the journey to their wedding day was filled with memorable moments.

One of the most unique was their engagement over a plate of calamari last year. "I'm hesitating because I haven't said it out loud yet… I'm saying 'yes' to marriage," Roberts had confessed during a GMA broadcast earlier this year.

"It was something we had talked about but we had put it off. She became ill, but… it is saying yes to that, and that next chapter." As the couple approached their wedding, they openly shared their experiences, both on social media and the GMA platform.

The anticipation was palpable in August when they celebrated with a live bachelorette party on GMA. In a touching gesture, Niecy Nash, a special guest, presented Roberts with a cutting board engraved with her mother's cherished family recipe.

GMA even aired a heartfelt segment that highlighted their love story spanning 18 years. Throughout these years, the couple has faced various challenges together. They supported each other during their fights against breast cancer, and Roberts' pivotal bone marrow transplant in 2012, as well as the loss of their parents.

Reflecting on their bond, Laign expressed to GMA, "We've really early on learned how to become a partnership and work together and truly, truly trust one another. Having someone by your side like that is a gift." This wedding marks not just the union of two souls but the celebration of a partnership that has stood the test of time.
