Selena Gomez, renowned for her hit "Single Soon", recently unveiled on Instagram that she underwent hand surgery following an injury. Although Gomez remained tight-lipped about the details surrounding the incident or the exact timing of her surgery, fans and media have been abuzz with speculations.

In a casual exchange on the platform, a fan, excited about the potential success of her new track on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, received an unexpected revelation from the singer herself. "Broke my hand and had surgery," Gomez shared, adding a poignant note about her take on music, "I don't care about selling anything.

I'm just happy to make music with my friends."

Gomez's Injury and Hulu Series

Gomez’s representatives have yet to make a formal statement about her injury or provide more insights into the surgery. As fans await further details, they're also engrossed in her performance in the ongoing series, "Only Murders in the Building" with season 3 episodes being aired every Tuesday on Hulu.

On the musical front, Selena recently delighted her followers with the release of her lively breakup anthem. This track is just the beginning, as she's gearing up for her third studio album. Taking to social media, she expressed her excitement, "Since I'm not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer." Fans, forever the detectives, began piecing together the lyrics of "Single Soon", suspecting that it might reference her past relationship with Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye from 2017.

But Gomez was quick to set the record straight. Responding to a post by Hollywood Life, she declared the speculations as "Couldn't be more false". The lyrical mention of "the weekend's almost here" now stands as nothing more than a playful coincidence.
