Windham Rotunda, celebrated WWE wrestler widely recognized as Bray Wyatt, tragically passed away on Thursday at the age of 36. The somber announcement was made on social media by WWE's chief content officer and esteemed former wrestler, Paul Michael Levesque, popularly known as Triple H.

He shared, "Today, we were informed by WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda of the heart-wrenching loss of our cherished WWE family member, Windham Rotunda, affectionately known to fans as Bray Wyatt. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and urge everyone to offer them the respect and privacy they need during this difficult time."

Subsequently, the WWE, on their official Instagram account, expressed their sorrow over the untimely demise of Rotunda, sending condolences to his loved ones and his expansive fan base.

Hailing from a lineage of wrestlers, Windham was a third-generation talent. He was the son of Mike Rotunda and the grandson of the legendary Blackjack Mulligan. His wrestling pedigree further includes his brother, Bo Dallas, and uncles, Barry and Kendall Windham.

Originating from Brooksville, Florida, Windham Rotunda embarked on his professional wrestling journey in 2009 with the Florida Championship Wrestling. Initially known as Alex Rotundo and Duke Rotundo, he paired with his brother Bo, clinching the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship.

By 2010, rechristened as Husky Harris, he made an impression in WWE NXT. However, it was in 2012, adopting the moniker Bray Wyatt and leading the sinister Wyatt family, that he truly etched his mark. His illustrious career includes victories like the WWE Championship in 2017, two WWE Universal Championships, and tag team championships alongside Matt Hardy and with Randy Orton and Luke Harper.

Among those left devastated by this loss is WWE legend, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Expressing his grief, he tweeted, "The news of Bray Wyatt's sudden departure is crushing. I've always held profound respect and affection for him and the entire Rotunda family.

His charisma, promo skills, and in-ring prowess were unparalleled, resonating with the @wweuniverse. Crafting such a distinctive, captivating character in the tumultuous world of pro wrestling is genuinely remarkable."
