Kent's Unforgettable "GoT" Role

Kent's impact in the realm of television and film is undeniable.

His sole appearance in "Game of Thrones" left an indelible mark on fans. In the episode titled "The Children" from 2014, he played a distraught goat herder who presents Daenerys Targaryen, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, with the tragic sight of his deceased young daughter – a casualty of the dragon, Drogon.

His talent wasn't just limited to one acclaimed series. Kent showcased his versatility through roles in films such as "Mirrors" (2008), "Snow White and the Huntsman" (2012), "My Feral Heart" (2016), "The Little Stranger" (2018), "Jeepers Creepers: Reborn" (2022), and most recently, "Love Without Walls" (2023).

In the 2023 movie "Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves", he notably portrayed a skeleton. Esteemed writer-director Jane Gull, who collaborated with Kent on multiple ventures, expressed her heartbreak on social media, remarking, "What an honor it was to share friendship and countless projects with you over the years.

Your absence will be deeply felt. Rest in peace, dearest Darren Kent." Born in Essex, Kent's passion for the arts led him to work with the Mushroom Theatre Company. He also made a significant mark in the BBC soap opera "EastEnders" just a year ago.

Apart from acting, the multi-talented Kent penned and directed several films, notably the 2015 crime drama, "Abusing Protocol." The entertainment world mourns the loss of such a brilliant luminary.
