Hollywood's Rebel Wilson recently demonstrated her dedication to her craft in an unexpected way. The actress took her new film, "Bride Hard," a little too seriously when she ended up in the hospital after a stunt went awry.

According to Wilson, the accident occurred during the wee hours of the morning at 4 am, after what seemed like an interminably long day of filming.

Wilson's On-Set Injury Amid Strike

The incident took place under the umbrella of an Interim Agreement, especially significant during the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. The unexpected turn of events put a slight damper on the production, with Wilson lamenting, "NOT the way I wanted to end this movie!" As a result of the accident, she required three stitches.

Though she did not pinpoint the exact location, images suggest that her nose bore the brunt of the impact, displaying noticeable signs of bleeding, bruising, and swelling. "Bride Hard," a satirical comedy, takes an amusing yet unmistakable cue from the iconic "Die Hard." In this film, Wilson takes on a challenging role as a fierce secret agent assigned an unconventional mission: playing the Maid of Honor for her childhood best friend.

This new venture, filled with daring stunts, may be a hint towards Wilson's ambitions. Recently, she disclosed to Variety her aspirations to delve into the action film genre, even revealing she auditioned for an upcoming James Bond film.

Outside of her cinematic pursuits, Wilson has been making headlines in her personal life. The beloved "Pitch Perfect" star, who became a mother in November 2022, is already pondering expanding her brood. Expressing her sheer joy at becoming a mom to baby Royce, she revealed to E!

News about her hopes for a second child and the challenges posed by IVF. Furthermore, Wilson is gearing up for her directorial debut. She plans to travel back to Australia later this year to direct "The Deb." Keeping it a family affair, her daughter will accompany her, enjoying double summer due to the opposite seasonal timelines in the U.S.

and Australia. This new endeavor, however, hinges on the resolution of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Wilson's "Bride Hard" was produced under an Interim Agreement, ensuring fair treatment for all cast and crew. This Agreement, as Deadline reported, empowers producers to uphold union demands, emphasizing the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) that union members are in high demand, even during the strike.
