Hulk Hogan, the iconic face of professional wrestling and two-time WWE Hall of Famer, is set to embark on a new journey, announcing his engagement to yoga instructor Sky Daily. The 69-year-old Florida native, who has been dating Daily for over a year, revealed to TMZ that he popped the question at a Tampa-based restaurant, a proposal met with enthusiastic acceptance.
Hogan, also known for leading the infamous nWo, confessed feeling a bout of nerves before proposing to Daily, a mother of three from a previous relationship. Despite the differences in their past, Hogan seems to have found harmony with Daily's family, declaring a close relationship with her three children.
Hogan's Rocky Marital History
A father to Brooke, 35, and Nick, 32, from his first marriage with Linda Hogan (1983-2009), the wrestling legend has been down the marital path twice before. His second union, with Jennifer McDaniel, spanned 2010 to 2021.
His past relationships have been marked by contentious splits; the Hogan-Linda divorce notably played out amidst accusations of infidelity and financial disagreements. The budding romance between Hogan and Daily began blossoming in early 2022 following the official end of his marriage to McDaniel.
Notably, as part of the divorce settlement, Hogan was obliged to purchase a new vehicle for McDaniel. The lovebirds made their first public appearance in February 2022 at a Bret Michaels concert, stirring curiosity amongst fans.
Acknowledging the speculation, Hogan took to Twitter in late February, confirming his relationship with Daily and declaring his divorce from McDaniel. Despite maintaining a low-key profile since, the occasional beachside snapshots of the couple have found their way to Hogan's social media feed.
A significant life change for Hogan extends beyond his love life; he revealed to Men’s Health that he lost around 40 pounds, partly credited to giving up alcohol. The decision to abstain came after recognizing an increasing dependency on alcohol as a coping mechanism for personal and business problems.
Hogan also emphasized his dedication to healthier lifestyle choices, which include consuming organic food and drinking ample water, particularly pertinent as he approaches his 70th birthday. Recounting his health struggles resulting from a strenuous wrestling career, Hogan admitted that his body began to fail him about 15 years ago.
His wrestling bouts against legends like Andre the Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Rowdy Roddy Piper have left their mark in the form of numerous surgeries, including knee and hip replacements, back surgeries, and facial reconstruction.
The physical toll transformed his lifestyle, forcing him to lose weight to better manage his physical pain and aging body. Nevertheless, Hogan seems to be embracing this new chapter in his life, entering it with renewed health, love, and hope.
