In one of the interviews, Christina Applegate talked about her battle with multiple sclerosis, which has been going on since 2021. Applegate has variable days; sometimes it's very hard, and sometimes it doesn't seem like it.
In 2021, when she found out about the diagnosis, she wrote on Twitter: “Hi friends. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with MS,” - she wrote. “It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition.
It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a—hole blocks it”. Applegate also spoke about her desire for privacy at the time. “As one of my friends that has MS said, ‘We wake up and take the indicated action’.
And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo”.
Christina Applegate and her fight
According to Vanity Fair, in a new interview, she reveals how difficult it is for her to face the challenges of living with such a disease.
As a result of the actress' diagnosis, she was forced to give up her role in Netflix's series 'Dead to Me' in August of 2021. "I miss that experience, but at the same time, since it was an incredible struggle this year and last year, I feel relieved that I no longer have to work so hard to get through the day." - she said.
After battling the disease for two years, the actress has admitted that she never has a "good day" in spite of the fight she puts up with. "You only have small, shitty days. People say, 'Well, why don't you shower anymore?' Well, because getting into the shower is terrifying.
You can fall, you can slip, your legs can fail. Especially since I have a glass shower. It's scary for me to go in there" - she confirmed.
