The couple welcomed their new addition, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, into the world and took to social media to express their joy.
"Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle," wrote Cuoco in a post on social media, accompanied by heart emojis. "Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family, and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days.
We are blessed beyond belief."
Cuoco announced her pregnancy back in October, with a heartfelt post on Instagram, expressing her excitement and gratitude. "Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023 beyond blessed and over the moon… I [heart] you @tommypelphrey!!!," she wrote.
A Different Approach to Parenting
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cuoco expressed her unique approach to parenting, stating that she had no plan and had not read any books on the subject. "I have no plan and I've read zero books so that's the type of mom I will be.
All the ways I'm not like a prepper. I'm just not that way. It's gonna be great, I trust the process," she said. Cuoco also mentioned that her mother was over the moon about becoming a grandmother. "My mom is amazing. She has honestly been waiting on a grandchild for, like, 20 years.
So she's absolutely thrilled," she said.
Love at First Sight
Kaley and Tommy's love story began at a premiere in April 2022, where they were set up by their agent, Andrea Pett-Joseph. Cuoco described their first meeting as "love at first sight." "We have the same manager [Andrea Pett-Joseph], and we were set up by [her], which is so Hollywood.
She's like, 'Oh my God, I think you guys are perfect for each other,'" Cuoco told USA Today. "We met at the 'Ozark' premiere (in April), and I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting.
It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I've known him my whole life, but I wasn't ready for him. We're ready to build a life together." Cuoco was previously married to Ryan Sweeting and Karl Cook.
After the filming of "The Big Bang Theory" ended, she worked on several projects, including the "Harley Quinn" series, while Pelphrey is part of the cast of "The Flight Attendant."
