Prince William made a surprise visit to Bistro Buetero in Warsaw, a "queer space" restaurant, during a recent trip to the Polish capital. The appearance of the prince caught the attention of all the guests and the restaurant's owner, who were shocked to see the royal join the crowd.
A Night to Remember
Footage from the visit shows Prince William sitting with a group of staff, as a server took their orders. According to an insider source, the team from Kensington Palace had booked a local restaurant near where they were working and the prince asked to join them.
"He asked them what they were doing and then asked to come along," said the source. "It was a great night by all accounts. The team really appreciated him asking to join them." The restaurant's owner, Pawel Zasim, was just as stunned as his guests, as he had no prior knowledge of the prince's visit.
He revealed that the table had been reserved for a birthday party for a woman named Daisy and 11 of her guests, but a bodyguard appeared and informed them that the party was not going ahead. The next thing they knew, Prince William walked in.
Our Nations Have Strong Ties
Prince William's visit to Poland was to emphasize Britain's support for the country, which has been helping refugees displaced by Russia's war on Ukraine. The prince also met with British and Polish troops stationed near the Ukrainian-Polish border and praised their cooperation in supporting the people of Ukraine and their freedom.
"I'm here because I want to personally thank the Polish and British troops working in close and crucial partnership," said William. "I also want to pay tribute to the inspiring humanity of the Polish people. You have opened your hearts as much as your homes." A spokesperson revealed that Prince William was very keen for the visit to go ahead and had personally requested it.
The prince was last in Warsaw in 2017 with his wife, Kate Middleton. Prince William's surprise visit to Bistro Buetero in Warsaw was a memorable event, not just for the guests and the owner of the restaurant, but also for the prince himself, who expressed his gratitude and admiration for the Polish people and the cooperation between British and Polish troops.
