Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, recently shared a video on his Instagram story showcasing the impact of Ramsay Hunt syndrome on his face. The singer was diagnosed with the condition last June and has been struggling with its effects since.

A Breakthrough in the Fight Against Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

In the video, Bieber appeared with a serious expression, which quickly transforms into a smile. This small change was a big breakthrough for the star who has been unable to smile for some time due to the paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The singer first revealed his diagnosis in June, in an Instagram video, where he stated, “I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome,” he said, as he shared how one side of his face lacked movement. “It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis”.

“As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face,” he continued. “This nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face”.

Prioritizing Health Over Touring

Justin Bieber has been on a journey to recover from his condition and put his health first. He canceled the rest of his tour last summer, stating, "I need to make my health the priority right now.

So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being." Despite his efforts to continue with the tour, Bieber performed six shows in Europe, which took a toll on him. He stated, "After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now." In addition to his health struggles, Justin Bieber recently made headlines for selling his music catalog to the publishing house Hipgnosis for a staggering 200 million US dollars.

The singer's dedication to his health and well-being serve as an inspiration to his fans and followers, who continue to support him through his journey.
