Cara Delevingne and shocking confession: I had my first hangover at 7

It would be fair to say that Cara Delevingne is a person who has built a great career and has become one of the most recognized faces in the world. In spite of this, she had to deal with a lot of challenges throughout her life.

Delevingne was a child who went through hell at a young age, struggled with substance abuse, and wasn't sure how to get out of it all. This is shocking, especially since it all started when she was only seven years old. Delevingne opened up in a recent interview with Vogue; "I woke up in my granny's house in my bedroom with a hangover, in a bridesmaid's dress.

I'd gone around nailing glasses of Champagne," she said, as quoted by mirror.co.uk Delevingne also revealed that she had insomnia at the age of 10 and was prescribed pills for that condition. Cara was also diagnosed with dyspraxia.

She revealed that it affected her even more and that it was the beginning of something bad. "This was the beginning of mental health issues and inadvertent self-harm," Cara said.

BREAKDOWN

She suffered a breakdown when she was 15 years old, and antidepressants saved her life.

Looks like she did the right thing. "I hadn’t uncovered the f**king hole inside, the real whirlpool within. And I still think there’s a part of diagnosis and labelling that is damaging. There were so many times that I was encouraged to take this or be put on that." Her mother was addicted to heroin, which further destroyed Cara's life.

"Everyone has something they go through with their family.
My life I feel was very stressful, because there was quite a lot of chaos, not being sure if people were okay or not."
Despite everything, Cara managed to overcome many things and become one of the most recognizable faces.
