According to sources close to PEOPLE, the comedian has been obsessed with the actress for over 30 years. The actress was reportedly shocked at how many times Rock called her a "whore" on his show.

The source also pointed out that Rock chose to film his Netflix special in Baltimore, the hometown of Jada Pinkett Smith, as evidence of his obsession.

Even before the premiere of his show, many fans criticized Chris Rock for his choice to film in Baltimore, a city that is associated with the actress, her husband Will Smith, and their past controversies.
