Andrew Tate, a social media personality who has been held in a Romanian prison since December on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal group, has made a shocking revelation about his health. Tate announced that he has a spot on his lung, which is most likely a tumor.
According to his doctors, he requires urgent medical treatment, which he had requested to receive in Dubai, but officials have stated that he will be treated in Romania. Tate's doctors in Romania and Dubai have written medical documents stating that he has a lesion on his upper right lung, a condition that has been described as a "serious health condition." His doctor said that the lesion could be a sign of a carcinoid tumor, a rare type of slow-growing cancer.
Tate confirmed the news with his spokesperson telling DailyMail, "Tate has a dark spot on his lung, most likely a tumor."
Medical Treatment in Dubai
Tate's spokesperson also stated, "Andrew was made aware of his serious condition before his arrest, after attending a consultation in Dubai.
As he could not be monitored by his chosen medical team in Dubai, it meant he was taken to a Romanian local clinic whilst in detention. No official diagnosis has been confirmed and he is in good shape and is staying strong.
His doctors have requested that he returns to Dubai for further testing. Andrew has not demanded this. This is not a health issue to be taken lightly and all due diligence is being made to make sure he gets the best medical care that is available to him." His doctor has written a letter and medical report stating that an "urgent investigation" is required into the supposed lesion in Tate's lung.
The letter said, "His case was discussed at our MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meeting, and he has been scheduled to have a number of further urgent investigations and procedures including a PET CT (Positron Emission Tomography) scan, bronchoscopy and tissue sampling via CT guided biopsy."
Legal Threats
In December, Tate and his brother Tristan sent a letter to the lawyers of the woman from the USA who accused Tate of rape, requesting that the legal proceedings be stopped. They threatened to sue the woman and her parents for $300 million if she did not retract her statements.
