The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, recently paid a visit to a nursing home in Slough where she decided to showcase her culinary skills by making pancakes with the residents. The video of her attempt quickly went viral on social media, much to the delight of her fans.
False Start but a Determined Finish
Before starting her culinary endeavor, Princess Kate predicted a potential kitchen mishap, informing the head chef of the nursing home, Anna Wright, "I always seem to get my pancakes stuck either in the pan or the ceiling or the floor." Despite her initial struggle, the Princess managed to successfully flip her pancake in the air to applause from the residents and staff.
However, when she tried to remove the pancake from the pan, it seemed to have split in two. After some effort with a spatula, she was able to free part of the pancake and tip it over, causing cheers from those present in the room.
Royal Commentator Richard Palmer shared the humorous clip on his official Twitter account, captioning it, "How not to make pancakes, Kate says."
The princess described her final product as a "congealed blob" and jokingly told those in the room, "Definitely don't eat that pancake.
All of the ones that were made earlier are much nicer."She then turned to one of the cooks and added, "Sorry, I really haven't done you justice."
