Global Stars Send Messages of Support After Devastating Earthquakes in Turkey

Two major earthquakes, with magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.5, hit the Elbistan region of Kahramanmaras province in Turkey, leaving thousands of people dead and many more injured or displaced. In response, seven days of mourning were declared in Turkey and search and rescue efforts continue.

As the nation grieves for its citizens, messages of support and solidarity are pouring in from around the world, including from some of the biggest names in entertainment.

Heartfelt Condolences

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe took to Twitter to express his condolences, writing, "Ah Turkey.

My heart. Devastating news." Antonio Banderas, another Hollywood star, also took to the social media platform to share a map of the earthquake-stricken region, with a message of solidarity, saying, "I am hugging the Turkish and Syrian people in solidarity because of this tragedy."

Three-time Grammy winner, Dua Lipa, also shared her support on Instagram, re-posting Yigit Turhan's message and adding, "My heart breaks for Turkey.

Sending love and prayers to everyone who was affected."

A Call to Action

In addition to sending messages of support, some of the world's biggest names are also calling for action. Mark Ruffalo, an Oscar-winning actor, director, producer, and screenwriter, shared a post about the Ahbap association and encouraged others to lend a hand in the search and rescue efforts.

George Takei, a famous actor best known for his role in "Star Trek," called on the world to come to the aid of the thousands of victims in Turkey and Syria, writing, "The world must do what it can to come to the aid of the many thousands of victims." Israeli musician Mark Eliyahu also shared a message of support on Instagram, writing, "My heart is with you," alongside the flags of Turkey and Syria.

In the wake of these devastating earthquakes, it is heartening to see the world come together to support the people of Turkey and Syria. These messages of support, along with the ongoing search and rescue efforts, provide a glimmer of hope in an otherwise dire situation.
