Actor Regé-Jean Page Named Most Beautiful Man in the World

Regé-Jean Page, the actor best known for his portrayal of Simon Basset in the hit Netflix series "Bridgerton", has been named the most beautiful man in the world by cosmetic surgeon Julian De Silva, reports Metro.

The results were determined by De Silva's use of the "golden ratio" - a mathematical formula that measures physical perfection.

The Science of Beauty

De Silva, who specializes in computerized mapping of facial features, used the ratio to determine that Page's face was 93.65% accurate to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.

The 34-year-old British actor beat out other notable men such as Chris Hemsworth, Michael B. Jordan, and Harry Styles to claim the top spot. Explaining how the process works, the professional said: "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery."

A Triumph of Symmetry

The golden ratio is a mathematical formula that has been used for centuries to measure physical perfection.

The ratio, which is approximately 1:1.618, is used to determine the symmetry and proportion of a person's face. The closer a face is to the golden ratio, the more "perfect" it is considered to be. De Silva said of Page's win, "Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page is the most handsome man in the world, according to science.
