They went on to express their admiration for his many talents, including his skills as a lyricist, DJ, and stage presence, as well as his love of cars and his ability to engage in endless conversations.
They also noted his role as a moral compass and genius and expressed their condolences to the Faithless family and fans.

"We are heartbroken to say Maxi Jazz died peacefully in his sleep last night. He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways.
He gave proper meaning and a message to our music. He was a lovely human being with time for everyone and wisdom that was both profound and accessible," they said. "It was an honour and, of course, a true pleasure to work with him.
He was a brilliant lyricist, DJ, Buddhist, a magnificent stage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, moral compass and genius. Rest in peace dearest Max. 1957 - 2022", they added below. "...and thank you Faithless family for all the love you showed us over the years.
Please look after each other, y’hear ?? as Max would always say." Jazz was an integral part of Faithless, joining the band in 1995 and remaining with them until 2011 and 2015. During his time with the group, he played a crucial role in their success, helping to write and perform hits such as "Insomnia," which became one of their most popular songs.
